Select the checkbox to designate a course as developmental. See information on Developmental Course Credit-Hour Limits and on Education Success Requirements in the Configuration Table tab of the Registration Configuration window.

If the course’s Catalog Master row is flagged as a developmental course, then when a student registers for that course, the Developmental Course box on the Student Course History row is set to ‘Y’, and the Developmental Course checkbox on the Student Course Details tab is selected by default. However, it is editable for each student, section, and term.

For Texas State Reporting schools, the maximum developmental credit hours the state will fund is 18. (In addition, the state will fund 9 credit hours of ESOL developmental courses. For those courses, make sure both the Developmental Course and ESOL Course checkboxes are selected.)
