1. In the Review Internet Submissions window, navigate to the tab with the sunburst icon. Columns with differences between submitted data and database data will also be marked with the sunburst icon.

2. Click the Compare Data button. The Compare Data window appears and displays the Selected Values, the Submitted Values, and the Database Values.

3. Select the radio buttons for the values you wish to keep and save in the database. For example, if you wish to keep the Submitted Values that the user submitted and have those overwrite what is currently in the database, select the values in the Submitted Values column.

4. Click OK. The Compare Data window closes and the columns are updated.

5. Click the Save All button. The changes are saved and the sunburst icons disappear from that column and tab.

If an ID Number was not included in the submission and an ID Number was not selected from the Duplicate Name Search window, you must generate an ID Number before the data can be saved to the Name Master table. An ID Number will be generated once you click Save in the J1 Desktop toolbar. Once the ID Number is generated, the remainder of the tabs in the Review Internet Submissions window that are relevant for this submission become available. The ID Number is also saved to the SUBMISSION table for this submission.

The checkboxes in the Name Usage section indicate the name types associated with the individual, organization, or business. Name types are associated with an ID Number as it moves through the system. For example, when a new student is added to the system and they are assigned an ID Number, their ID number is associated with the Student name type. If the same student is hired in your campus library, their ID Number will then be associated with the Employee name type as well.

Only the most common name types are shown.

This is done automatically as the ID Number moves through the system.

The checkboxes are for informational purposes only. They cannot be updated.

If you make a manual change on this tab for a particular column that has also been included on the submission and the changed value is different from the database value, the sunburst icon displays for the column and it is included as a "changed" column on the Compare Data window since the value differs from the value in the J1 database. If the manual change is the same as the J1 database value or the modified column was not included on the submission, it is not considered a "changed" column.
