Meeting Type may be especially useful for helping students search for online sections.
Use Meeting Type to designate sections according to types such as Online, Lecture, and Lab. Meeting Type is stored in the database as section_master.crs_meeting_type.

Meeting Type may be especially useful for helping students search for online sections. |
Students can search for sections by Meeting Type if these elements are set up:
Meeting Types are defined (J1 Desktop Maintain Table Values
window). Use up to 5 characters for the code.
Meeting Type is made available for course searches (J1 Web Registration
Settings page, Campus Portal Course Search).
The section has a Meeting Type designated (J1 Desktop Courses
window, Course tab, Master 2 subtab or J1 Web Manage Section Details
page, Schedule tab).
A Meeting Type is also used in the Astra Schedule Import feature. Make sure the defined values are the same in J1 and Astra Schedule.
