Use the Retirement Program Details window to review or update a specific employee's retirement information, such as eligibility and election dates, vested information, and termination details.
You can access this window in multiple ways.
· From your activity center:
o Work with Employees via Payroll
o Work with Employees via Personnel
· From your Benefits window or tab:
o HR Benefits/Accruals via Payroll
o HR Benefits/Accruals via Personnel
Review or Enter an Employee's Retirement Program Details

1. If you accessed the Retirement Program Details window from an activity center
a. Enter or search for the employee's ID Number.

To quickly search for an employee, right-click from the ID Number column and select Advanced Search. The Name Search window appears where you can search for applicants by first, last, or preferred name as well as e-mail address and state. |
b. Select
the employee's Benefit Code.
The Retirement Program Code
appears automatically.

The Benefit Code drop-down list displays only those retirement programs to which this employee is already assigned. |
2. Review or update any applicable information for the employee:
· Benefit Eligibility Date - Enter or select the date the employee became or will be eligible for the retirement program.
· Benefit Election Date - Enter or select the date the employee began or will begin the retirement program.
· Benefit Vested? - Select if the employee has met the vesting requirements for the benefit.
· Benefit Vested as of Date - Enter or select the date the employee became or will be vested in the retirement program.

If you enter a date here, the Benefit Vested? checkbox is automatically selected. You can deselect the checkbox if necessary (the employee is not vested yet). |
· Last Day of Covered Employment - Enter or select the last day the employee is eligible for the retirement program.
· Benefit Termination Reason - Select the reason the employee is no longer eligible for the retirement program.

A selection is required if you entered a date for Last Day of Covered Employment. |

These drop-down list options are maintained using the Retirement Benefit Termination Reason Definition window. |
· Number of Paid Days Final Month - Enter the number of days for which the employee will be paid during his or her final month of employment.

If you enter more days than exist in the month you entered for Last Day of Covered Employment, an error message appears. |
· Projected Annualized Salary - Enter the employee's annualized salary.
· Final Payroll Date - Enter the employee's final payroll date.
· No Further Contract Exists - Select if the employee is not under contract for a different retirement benefit eligible position in your organization.
3. Save.
Delete an Employee's Retirement Benefit
