Use this window to apply security settings to account numbers or groups of account numbers by component or by budget officer/account security officer. You can add, update, and delete security settings. You can also right-click on a row and access the Create Account Components window.
· Select the By Component radio button to work with security settings that grant access to certain account numbers or groups of account numbers by component. These settings are maintained in the security table (GL_SECURITY).
· If you are using traditional G/L module budgeting capabilities, the By Budgeting Officer radio button option is available. This option allows you to work with security settings that grant access to certain account numbers or groups of account numbers by budget officer. These settings are maintained in the security table (GL_SECURITY_2).
· If you are using advanced budgeting capabilities with the Budget module, the By Alternate Security Code radio button option is available. This option allows you to work with security settings that grant access to certain account numbers or groups of account numbers by security officer. These settings are maintained in the security table (GL_SECURITY_2).
