Locations are areas in which buildings are located at your organization. Locations are common to all modules and can include your main campus and additional campuses. Locations are defined and maintained in the Location Master table. Location is the first of a three-part Key (Location, Building, Room) used to identify a room in J1. If multiple locations are not needed, using a Location Code of MAIN for the main campus is appropriate.

This default value for Location can be selected from the Default Location drop-down list on each of the following tabs in the Student Life Configuration window:
This code defaults into the Location Code column on windows within that area; however, you can change the value at that time.

The Module-Wide Default Location you specify is used on certain windows maintaining information across the Student Life module. For example, the Module-wide Default Location is used when maintaining Session Rooms. |
