Room Definition Window

Rooms are used in conjunction with Locations and Buildings. Use this window to define each room for which you want to track usage. You can view, edit, add, and delete rooms associated with a building and location.

You can add or view additional information about the room on the Room Details window, which can be accessed by double-clicking on a row or by selecting a row and choosing Room Details.

How To

1. Open the Room Definition window.

2. Select the Location code and then the Building code from the drop-down lists.

A building can be associated with only one location.

3. Enter the new Room code (up to 5 characters) and description.

4. Select the Room Type from the drop-down list.

5. Enter the Capacity of the room.

6. Save.

7. To enter additional information, highlight the row and select Room Details from the right-click menu. The Room Details window opens.

Select the Classroom checkbox on the Characteristics tab if you want this room to be available for selection in the Room drop-down list on the Schedule tab of the Courses window.

1. Open the Maintain Table Values window.

2. Choose Column Name of room_type.

3. Choose Add Row or Insert Row from the right-click menu

4. Enter the required information to create the data row.

5. Save.

1. From any Room Type column in any module, chose Maintenance Screen from the right-click menu.

2. The Maintain Table Values window opens with the Column Name of room_type.

3. Choose Add Row or Insert Row from the right-click menu.

4. Enter the required information to create the data row.

5. Save.
