Just like faculty, students, and all other entities that have names and addresses, all organizations are defined in the Name Master table.
Organizations may use the following codes:
· · American College Testing Program (ACT) provides a set of four-digit codes for post-secondary organizations
· · Federal Interagency Commission on Education (FICE) provides a set of six-digit numbers (CEEB Code). Common tables refer to the organization by this federally assigned code.
· · College Scholastic Services (CSS) provides a set of four-digit numbers
· · User Defined
Jenzabar recommends that you use the six-digit CEEB Code provided by FICE to access any organization. J1 Desktop uses this code to access the organization row on the Organization Master table. From this table, the programs use the ID Number to access the organization's name and address in the Name Master table and the Address Master table. However, you do not have to use the CEEB Code. If you choose to use codes less than six digits (i.e., ACT and CSS) and because the length of the column for the organization code is six digits, you must code them with leading zeros or trailing blanks.

If a college's ACT code is 6135, enter 006135 or 6135__ in the six-digit column. |
