This code (consisting of up to five characters) is used to identify a predefined miscellaneous charge.
If you have five parking fines and one speeding fine to record, use the charge code for parking fines PARK . When you record the five parking fines, the value PARK is already displayed in the Charge Code column. For the speeding fine, you will enter SPEED as the charge code to replace the default value.
In the Miscellaneous Charge Codes Entry Window, this charge code defined in this window is stored in the Charge Code (CHG_CDE) table.
In the A/R Charge Entry Window, when the charge code is selected, a default subsidiary is retrieved and displayed in the Subsidiary Code column. If you want to change the subsidiary code, you must change the charge code.
