When charges are created for tuition and fees, a debit is made to a subsidiary account and a credit is made to an offsetting account (usually an income account). The transaction to the subsidiary account includes the ID Number, which identifies the student who is being charged.

Every organization has a different set of student charges and a different set of rules for determining those charges. For this reason, the Accounts Receivable module provides several tables that will control the creation of the debits and credits. You will choose and maintain the entries in each table, and your system will create charges on the basis of your organization's rules. By using tables, you can add or change charges in the future without requiring programming changes from your MIS staff or from Jenzabar
Once these charges are defined, you can generate automatic charges three different ways:
· Process all students in a batch
· From online registration, one student at a time.
