Copy Course Window

The Copy Criteria and the Course to Copy tabs on this window allow you to copy an existing course along with its associated detail to create one or more new courses. You should first select the Copy Criteria before selecting the Course to Copy.

Copy Criteria Tab

1.    In the Course Information group box, select a Year, Term, and Session for which the new section will be created.

2.    Enter the number of new sections you want to create in the Number of Sections column. This number of rows are then available in the New Sections group box.

3.    Select a Section from the New Sections group box.

4.    Enter a Start and End Date for each section. These dates will be copied to the Section Master row. If The Course Schedule checkbox is selected in the Copy group box, the dates will also be used for the Section Schedules row.

5.    In the Copy group box, select the  checkboxes to identify the criteria to be copied.

Course to Copy Tab

The rows displayed in the Available Courses pane are determined by the course filter that has been applied.

1.    Select one course row from the Available Courses pane and double-click it or drag it to the Selected Courses pane.

2.    All of the items that have been attached to the course are displayed in a Tree in the Selected Courses pane and will be moved to the new section.

3.    When the Tree is expanded in the Selected Courses pane, you can remove one or more items individually before actually creating the new sections.

4.    Save. The Selected Courses pane is cleared.

5.    If you want to copy another course, repeat 1-4.
