Credit Hours Boundary Window

This window is used to define boundaries that can be used to determine when students' course loads appear on the Drop/Add Report.

By default, students appear on the Drop/Add Report when any change occurs in their course load. Define and use a boundary when you want to restrict the students displayed on the Drop/Add Report to only those students who have crossed a specific credit hour count.

Your institution only wants to know when the POE Load changes for students. This will require that a boundary be defined representing each POE Load. If a student initially registered for 16 credit hours, they were full-time. Two weeks later, the student drops two courses, changing their credit count to 10 credit hours and making them three-quarter time. This student will be included in the default Drop/Add Report and in a Drop/Add Report using the defined POE Load Boundary code. A second student initially registered for 15 credit hours. Two weeks later, the student drops one course that changes their credit count to 12 credit hours, which is still full-time. This student will also be included in the default Drop/Add Report but not on the report using the defined POE Load Boundary code because their load remained full-time.

When a Credit Hour Boundary Code is selected and a student's number of registered credit hours changes and crosses one of the boundaries, their name will appear on the Drop/Add Report. You may define several sets of boundaries, each containing up to 21 credit hour boundaries.
