Via the CONFIGURATION_TABL, administrators are able to enable password expiration, set the number of days between password expirations, and lock out users for failed password change (see Configuration Table Configurations).
If so configured and a user logs in to J1 Desktop with an expired password, a message ("Your password has expired. Please change it in the following window.") displays. Clicking OK displays the Change User Password window where the user must enter a new password. Depending on the value of CONFIGURATION_TABL.FAIL_PWD_LOCKS, the user can either proceed with the login, be given a warning, or be locked out of the J1 Desktop application.
When users change passwords, messages will display informing the user whether the password has been changed, and, if applicable, why it was not changed.
