Resources

For each resource, you can maintain information such as the ID Number of the provider of the resource, the ID Number of the contact person, the location/building/room in which the resource is housed, an action list, characteristics, number of units, cost, rental fee, date of purchase, and condition.

Resources are items that are needed for the delivery of a course. Your organization can define the items included in your resource list, which might include computers, overhead projectors, chairs, podiums, tables, theater lights, carts, dollies, extension cords, tablets, pens, pencils, staplers, paper cutters, trash cans not typically at that location, projection screens, public address systems, etc. It might also include furniture, room characteristics, nametags, name tents, room signs, area maps, marketing materials, and any materials that specifically need to be identified for the delivery of the course. The programmer can indicate items needed for a course, indicate when they are needed, and automatically generate work orders to the appropriate person or department.

Although resources can be identified as an inventory item in a room, they can be flagged as usable in other areas. Each resource that you create is associated with one of the resource types defined in the system. In addition, each resource of a particular resource type will have an identifier of 15 alphanumeric characters that will uniquely identify that particular resource. Resources are defined in the Resource Definitions window and Resource Details window.
