SEVIS Real-Time Interactive (RTI) process is used by J1 Desktop and provides reporting functionality for the schools and program sponsors.
This process involves your entering data in the SEVIS tables via the International Students and Exchange Visitors window. The report that you run lists data in the SEVIS tables that you must manually enter on the website and submit to SEVIS. When you enter information on the website for a student/exchange visitor and save, the SEVIS ID Number is generated. It is recommended that you make note of this number and then enter it in the SEVIS ID # column on the General tab and Dependents tab of the International Students and Exchange Visitors window.
