The Form I-94 is the small white or green card stapled in the passport and is also known as the Arrival/Departure Document.
· This form is issued to the nonimmigrant by the INS upon arrival in the U.S.
· It lists the date, place of arrival, visa status, and length of authorized stay.
· This Form I-94 card is kept by the individual as the official record of admission and permission to remain in the U.S.
· Except for certain situations, the card is returned to the INS when the individual leaves the U.S.
