The Gainful Employment Report is no longer required, but some schools track gainful employment. |
This window allows you to view the Gainful Employment Report and to generate a text file for import to National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) or National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The Institutional Research Student Data collection process collects data for this report.
The Regulatory Reporting window has a header and two tabs: Report and Web Import File. Values saved in the USER_PREFERENCES table are used in the header when the window is initially opened: form, snapshot, and the report displayed in the Regulatory Forms drop-down list. Both tabs are available, but the Report tab is displayed by default.
The Regulatory Forms drop-down list is populated with the last used form saved in the USER_PREFERENCES table, but it can be edited. The drop-down list displays Purpose Codes to which you have permissions.
The Reporting Date/Snapshot Date drop-down list is populated depending on the value selected in the Regulatory Forms drop-down list. The Report Year, Snapshot Date, Purpose Description, and Snapshot ID are displayed for each option in the list.
When you select a Form and Snapshot selected in the header, the data is retrieved and displayed on the Report tab. In some cases, the report allows you to drill down to the ID Numbers and names. You can also customize the report and/or print the report.
The Gainful Employment Report is named r_ir_gainful_employment.
Paper documents are not accepted by some services (i.e., NSC). This tab allows you to create the flat-file report required. Jenzabar provides a comma separated values format for the Gainful Employment Report. The layout of the .txt file meets the Import Specification on the websites of NSC and NSLDS.
