Payment Plan Tab (Subsidiaries Window)

If you have the Student Financials license and have turned off the Legacy Payment Plans, this tab will not appear on the Subsidiaries window.

Use this window to update payment plans or create new payment plans for an individual. You can also Delete Payment Plan/Delete Payment Plan Detail to remove a payment plan or detail for any plan to which a payment has not been made and/or interest has not been generated.

Payment plans, created from the Subsidiaries window, use configurations defined in the Payment Plan Control window. Use the Payment Plan control window to create a new payment plan with new control definitions.

The tree view shows the details of an individuals Payment Plan/Subsidiary combination, which is defined on the Master tab. The Generate Payment Plans process creates payment plans based upon the definitions on the Payment Plan Control window. Use this window to associate a Subsidiary with a Payment Plan.

Click on a plus sign to expand a tree-view rows contents. When payments are received, applied to a payment plan (using the Attach to Payment Plan window), and the Transactions radio button is selected for a tree-view row, the receipt transactions associated with that row will be displayed in a grid.

When you save, if the sum in the detail Payment Plan Amount column does not equal the header Payment Plan Amount column, the following message appears: "The sum of the Payment Amounts does not equal the Payment Plan Amount. Continue with save?" Click OK to save the detail row(s) or Cancel to not save the row(s).
