Service Member Relationship Definition

Use this window to define relationships of benefit recipients to service members for Texas State Reporting. The entries defined here appear in Relationship to Service Member drop-down list on the Hazlewood Recipient Information window.

These entries are provided by Jenzabar. However, you can edit or remove them, as well as add new entries. You can also activate or deactivate entries as needed.

Columns

Enter a code (up to five alpha-numeric characters) for the service member relationship.

Enter a description for the service member relationship.

· To activate the service member relationship, select the checkbox.

· To deactivate the service member relationship, deselect the checkbox.

How To

1. Access the Service Member Relationship Definition window.

2. Select Add Row or Insert Row from the right-click or Options menu.

3. Enter a Code (up to five alpha-numeric characters) for the service member relationship.

4. Enter a Description for the service member relationship.

5. Determine if the new service member relationship is active.

· To activate the service member relationship, select the Active checkbox.

· To deactivate the service member relationship, deselect the Active checkbox.

6. Save.

1. Access the Service Member Relationship Definition window.

2. Locate the entry you wish to update.

3. Edit the alpha-numeric Code, if necessary.

4. Edit the service member relationship Description, if necessary.

5. To activate the service member relationship, select the Active checkbox.

6. To deactivate the service member relationship, deselect the Active checkbox.

7. Save.

2. Locate the entry you wish to activate.

3. Select the Active checkbox.

4. Save.

1. Access the Service Member Relationship Definition window.

2. Locate the entry you wish to deactivate.

3. Deselect the Active checkbox.

4. Save.

If you need to remove a service member relationship temporarily, you can deactivate it (by deselecting the Active checkbox) instead of deleting it. Deleting the row will remove it permanently.

1. Access the Service Member Relationship Definition window.

2. Locate the entry you wish to delete.

3. Select Delete Row from the right-click or Options menu.

4. Save.
