Purpose Benefit Association Window

Use this window to associate a purpose type with the benefit codes that are to be included in the data collection for this purpose type. The benefit codes displayed in the window are those with a fringe category of DD, FR, or FN from the Benefits Control table.

This window is available only to those licensed for both Payroll and Texas State Reporting.

Columns

Only purpose types associated with the Payroll module appear in the drop-down list.

If accessed from the Purpose Type Definition window, the Purpose Type is already selected.

To associate this Benefit Code with the selected Purpose Type, select this checkbox.

Displays the benefit code from the Benefits Control table.

Displays the benefit code description from the Benefits Control table.

Displays the Benefit Code's status from the Benefits Control table.

How To

This is an option only for purpose types linked to the Payroll module.

1. Access the Purpose Benefit Association window in one of the following ways:

· On the Purpose Type Definition window, right-click on a Payroll Purpose Type Description and select Associate Benefit Codes with Purpose. The Purpose Benefit Association window appears with the purpose type selected.

· Access the Settings - Regulatory Reporting activity center, and select Purpose Benefit Association to open the window.

2. If not already selected in the Purpose Type drop-down list, select the purpose type with which you want to associate benefit codes from the options displayed. These are active purpose types associated with the Payroll module.

3. Select the Associate? checkbox for each Benefit Code you want to associate with the selected Purpose Type.

4. Save.
