The Student Subterm Summary by Division table contains student GPA information for each division, year, term, and subterm. When you run the academic recalc or update grades for a term (if you select Update During Grade Entry: GPA on the Registration Configuration window), the table's GPA information reflects the student's Term GPA and Career GPA at the end of that subterm.

If you look at the 2011, term 02, subterm 1A row for a student who graduated in 2000, it will display their Term GPA and Career GPA as of the time when 2011-02-1A grades were updated. The Transcript and Grade Report programs use this table to print subterm GPA's (if you select Print Career Total Line at End of Each Subterm on the Registration Configuration window) for the current term and the student's career. You may also use the Student Subterm Summary by Division table to view a history of a student's GPA. |
J1 generates a Student Subterm Summary by Division row when you run the academic recalc for a student for a year, term, and subterm. A student may take an undergraduate course and a graduate course in the same subterm since these courses add to different GPA's for the student. The table must store a separate row for each division in the year, term, and subterm.
This table contains term-by-term summaries of student data for each division. You should use this table if you need the student division, career GPA information, or term GPA information. The program accesses each student division for the year and term that you identify when you run the classification update or the academic standing update.
