Use this window to add or edit details for the miscellaneous charge codes, which includes account information and transaction amount and description. This miscellaneous charge code is used during miscellaneous charge entry.
If the needed 1098-T Eligibility option isn't available from the drop-down list, right-click and select Maintenance Screen. In the Maintain Table Values window, you can update or add a new 1098-T designation. However, the 1098-T process does not recognize any custom 1098-T designations; only the Jenzabar-provided eligibility flags are recognized in the process. |
When you designate a miscellaneous charge with a Fee Type, the charges may appear as options in other windows. See the Fee Type details below for more information. |
When you create a new miscellaneous charge, a row is added to the Charge Fee Definition table since it is the parent table to the Student Charge Definition table and the Miscellaneous Charge Definition table.
When you delete a miscellaneous charge, it is removed from the parent table (Charge Fee Definition).

When charges are produced for Non-Traditional charges, the miscellaneous charge code is used except when regarding amount, description, source code, folio, year, and term.
