1. Open the Receipt Entry window.
2. Click the New Detail button to open the Receipt Entry Detail window.
3. Enter the ID Number, Cash Tendered, and additional information.
4. Right-click and choose Add Row.
5. Right-click and choose Select Open Item, which opens the Select Open Item window.
6. Choose the Open Item transaction to which you want to apply the payment. Note that the A/R code will automatically populate and protect the Subsidiary Code and the Account Code columns based on the definition in Receipt Code Control window.
7. For each additional transaction you want to choose, repeat #3-5.
8. When you select the Open Item transaction, that information is passed back to the Receipt Entry Detail window. The Transaction Amount will be .00, and the Transaction Description will include the text "Payment of" and the Transaction Description from the Select Open Item window.
If you selected an Open Item transaction with the Description of "OI1 Charge," the Transaction Description on the Receipt Entry Detail window will be "Payment of OI1 Charge." |
9. On the Receipt Entry Detail window, enter the A/R Code, Transaction Amount, and other necessary information for each Open Item transaction.
10. Click Save. (1st save receipt only) The Forms Control window opens.
11. Change the form number if necessary and select a printer to use to print the receipts, if you system is configured to allow for a choice in printers.
12. Click OK to return to the Receipt Entry Detail window.
13. The Cash Returned column is populated.
14. Save.
