Use this window to store on magnetic media your organization's configuration values for state tax reporting. These values are stored in the Media Control table.
Access the Configure Media Control window from the Tax Tables window: from the Tax Code column, select Configure Media Control from the right-click menu.
This required column automatically displays the code selected from the Tax Code column in the Tax Tables window.
This plant code of the employer is supplied by the state and can be entered into this column.

The month in this column is the default month displayed in the month/quarter column selected on the State Media Reporting window.
This column can contain the specific telephone extension for the Contact Phone number.

The document control number is assigned by the state when they send the quarterly filing notice. Enter your document control number into this column.

This column includes credits or overpayments to be applied to the balance due.

Enter your organization's Federal Identification Number (FEIN) in this column.

Unemployment Insurance Tax Rate
This column stores the Unemployment Tax Rate. The state publishes this tax rate to all employers that are affected.

This column contains a drop-down list box of the locality codes used for Payroll Locality reporting.
This column contains the North American Industry Classification System code relevant to this Tax Code.
If you want to generate the tax report, select this checkbox.

If you would like to create a report in InfoMaker for this process, the report must begin with the name R_STATE_LOCAL_ and must be stored in the PAREPORT.PBL. If the name and location are not correct, then the report does not appear in the drop-down list box on the State Reporting Media window. |
If you want to generate the magnetic media, select this checkbox.
This column modifies the State Reporting Media process so that it does not process state unemployment wages but only processes personal income tax wages.
