J1 Client Application Services Overview

The J1 Client Application Services (Service) is a Windows service that runs in the background of a user's machine or a dedicated server. This service has two primary responsibilities:

·       Running scheduled J1 processes automatically on the days and times you specify

·       Relaying e-mail messages to recipients assigned to receive e-mail notifications

The J1 Client Application Services is not included with the main J1 Desktop installer and must be downloaded and installed separately from MyJenzabar.net (Support > Jenzabar One > Application Downloads > J1 Releases). Before installing the service, please read and follow the instructions found on that page. The installer creates a Windows service named "Jenzabar J1 Client Application Services."

 

Once the J1 Client Application Services is installed, it must be started in order to run scheduled process or relay e-mail notifications. After starting the Service, check the application log in the machine's event viewer for any errors or warning messages.
