Event

An event is defined as an occurrence, and an activity is defined as something that happens during an event.

An event may have many activities as components. For each event and each activity within an event:

·       You may set goals for revenue and expense amounts and number of attendees.

·       Each activity can have a fee attached.

·       Based on the number of attendees, you can track how much revenue was realized for each activity and for the event.

The following list includes some items that can be tracked for an event:

·       Location, building, and room locations

·       Starting and ending dates and times

·       Budgeted revenues and expenses

·       Planned and actual attendance

An event code (examples) consists of up to six (6) characters. It is associated with a description and includes begin and end dates. Events are defined via the Events window.

Several activities can be associated with an event.

 

If a Homecoming weekend is planned, the activities can be defined with detailed information. Each activity that is part of that weekend can be marked with Homecoming as the event.
