You can indicate the application group of which you are a member that you most commonly use to log in to J1 Desktop. The group you use to log in to J1 Desktop determines the areas of database, tasklist, and specialized areas of internal security (for example, attributes, social security number masking, Registration module permissions, Rules Based Update, etc.) that you are able to work with.
If you are a member of the J1 Desktop Administrators group and the AP Managers group but you most often serve in the AP Manager capacity, you may want to select the AP Manager group as your Default Application Group preference.
