Advising Worksheet

This report can be run in batch by selecting the Advising Worksheet radio button on the Graduation Report window or more easily for a specific ID Number by using the right-click menu in the Maintain Advisees window.

Example

A multi-root worksheet would show the following (click here to see a PDF copy of the worksheet):

o Students with Holds that would prevent registration are indicated by the

icon.

How To

If you do not select any selection criteria, the report will run for all students in the Advising system, which could be a lengthy process.

1. Open the Graduation Report window.

2. Enter/Select appropriate Selection Criteria and Options.

3. Choose the appropriate report from the Reports drop-down list box. Click the Customize button to create a new report format.

4. Click the Retrieve button to populate the Retrieved section with rows that match the selection criteria. If you enter Selection Criteria but do not retrieve rows, the report will select rows based on the specified criteria.

5. In the Retrieved section, select the rows you want to include in the report and click the Move to Selected button. To remove a row from the Selected section, select it and click the Delete Selected Row button. To remove all rows from the Selected section, click the Delete All button.

6. Click the Retrieve button to populate the Retrieved section with rows that match the selection criteria. If you enter Selection Criteria but do not retrieve rows, the report will select rows based on the specified criteria.

7. In the Retrieved section, select the rows you want to include in the report and click the Move to Selected button. To remove a row from the Selected section, select it and click the Delete Selected Row button. To remove all rows from the Selected section, click the Delete All button.

8. In the Reports to Run group box, click the Advising Worksheet radio button.

9. From the Print group box, choose either the Preview radio button to display the report on your computer or the Immediate radio button to send the report to your printer.

10. Click the OK button to run the report according to the selection criteria.

If you customize this report, it is mandatory that you honor the naming convention. If you customize the r_grad_rpt, then the new report's name must begin with r_advising_worksheet. If the customized report is not named according to this rule, it may not appear as an option in the Reports drop-down list box.
