This is a group box on the Registration Configuration window | GPA/Repeat Logic tab. Registration performs updates to the academic record according to the settings you indicate in this group box and in the Automated 'Recalculate Academic Record' Process group box.

Changes to Registration Configuration can have wide-ranging consequences in the course catalog, in current and historical academic records, in reporting, and so on. Make changes with caution.
When configuration items are changed that impact hours and GPA figures, or you change a grade table configuration, the recalc will be required for many students, including historical records.
