View History/Generate Report Tab (International Students and Exchange Visitors Window)

This tab controls the set of history records you view or the set of history records used in the comparison to collect the changes in the SEVIS current tables since the last report was sent.

This tab opens when you select the History/Create Reports radio button in the Selection Criteria group box and displays a grid window list of report dates (REPORT_DTE from SEVIS_GENERAL_HIST table). Report Dates are filtered by Student and Exchange Visitor.

·       If the selected Status is Active, the window displays only those report dates that contain one or more rows for SEVIS_STUDENT or SEVIS_EV where BIOGRAPH_MASTER.ACTIVE_SEVIS_RCD = Y.

·       If the selected Status is Inactive, the window displays only those report dates that contain one or more rows for SEVIS_STUDENT or SEVIS_EV where BIOGRAPH_MASTER.ACTIVE_SEVIS_RCD = N.

The list is ordered by Report Date. Therefore, when the tab initially displays, the most recent date is automatically selected and the Selected Students/Exchange Visitors tree displays the names of the ID Numbers recorded in that set of history rows with the first person's name highlighted.

In addition, this tab has controls and/or settings that allow you to do the following:

·       Compare the information in the SEVIS current table with the information in the SEVIS history table for a selected Report Date. Each time this process is run, the system clears the SEVIS transaction tables and generates rows for the differences since the last report.

·       View and/or print a report showing a list of the differences for which a transaction could not be generated. This generally will be because of missing required data or incorrect format of data.

·       View and/or print a report with the data to be updated manually on the SEVIS website.

·       Click the Final Run checkbox when you feel the data is ready for reporting. This option is only available when FUNCT_CDE = SEVIS and CHAR_CDE = CUST_TYPE and CONFIG_VALUE = RTI in the CONFIGURATION_TABL. When this checkbox is selected, the process runs and stamps the rows in the SEVIS transaction tables with a status of SUBMITTED.
