Status (Process History)

The Status column is available to help determine if a process was successful, missed, etc. Select the appropriate status for which you want to retrieve Process History. Valid values are listed in the following table. These values also populate the Status column on the lower portion of the Process History window when rows are retrieved.

Status

Description

More Information

S

Skipped

A Process History row with a status of S will be created when the J1 Client Application Services (Service) determines that a job was not run at the scheduled time.

I

In Progress

A Process History row with a status of I indicates that a process was started and is running.

M

Missed Instance

The Service creates a Process History row with a status of M if the process was not run at the scheduled time.

Jobs are considered Missed when the machine on which the Service is running is turned off when the process is supposed to run.

C

Completed

A Process History row with a status of C indicates that the job completed successfully.

E

Error

A Process History row with a Status of E indicates that the job encountered errors. You should check the Application Log for more details.

K

Killed

A Process History row with a status of K indicates that the job needed to be ended for some reason.  Setting the Status from 'In Progress' to 'Killed' DOES NOT KILL THE ACTUAL PROCESS. Set the Status to 'Killed' if there was a problem and you had to manually resolve the problem or end the process.

You may want to end the process because the Status remains 'In Progress' for an extended period of time

To kill a process:

·       Run Windows Task Manager on the machine

·       On the Processes tab, right-click on the process

·       Select End Process.
