The Local Summary radio button in the Entry Type group box indicates that you are entering summary coursework information for a student or correcting academic record information for work that was locally taken. Summary coursework information means entering one or more lines with just summary information.
The Hours Attempted, Hours Earned, Hours GPA ,and Quality Points columns become editable when this radio button is selected. Also, when this radio button is selected, the Recalculate Academic Record process will use the Hours GPA and Quality Points from the Student Course History row instead of the Quality Points from the Grade table to determine what Quality Points to add for this course.

The Quality Points column is required. Therefore, if you leave this column blank, you will receive the following message: "You have not entered a value in the quality points column, do you wish to continue? Yes/No." The Credit Hours column is not required; however, if all hours columns are left blank, you will receive the following message: "You have not entered any values in the hours columns, do you wish to continue? Yes/No." |
