You can find the standard XML and EDI schemas and documentation about them on the PESC website (http://www.pesc.org).
To find the standard schemas on the PESC website, go to the XML College Transcript page at http://www.pesc.org/pesc-approved-standards.html. From this location you can find links to the CollegeTranscript_v1.1.0.xsd and the CoreMain_v1.4.0.xsd and AcademicRecord_v1.3.0.xsd which it references. These schemas can be copied to a local location (recommended) or referenced directly from the PESC location (if you do not expand the references to the supporting schemas).
The CollegeTranscript_v1.1.0.xsd assumes the CoreMain_v1.4.0.xsd and AcademicRecord_v1.3.0.xsd, which it references, are stored in the same location. On the PESC website, this is not true and can cause problems if the software tool being used to validate the XML file tries to expand the included supporting schemas instead of directly using the paths defined in the XML file header and cannot find them. A configuration option in the Maintain Config Table window allows you to copy the XML Transcript schema from the PESC website into a local directory, define the local schema location in the Configuration Table, and reference it from there. The default schema location is the PESC location.
