Degree History Archive Window

Use this window to track changes to the Degree History table (DEGREE_HISTORY).

This window displays all of the columns from the Degree History window and the Student Information window | Degree tab except for these subtabs:

·       Leave of Absence

·       Graduation Stage

When you make a change to any of the columns on the Degree, Degree Program, and Graduation subtabs, a trigger on the Degree History table inserts a row into DEGREE_HISTORY_ARCHIVE.

When you change a column that may impact National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) program reporting, a pop-up prompts you to enter an Effective Date. The NSC reporting process in J1 uses the Effective Date as the Program Begin Date.

For changes that don’t constitute a change of program, we recommend that you populate the Effective Date with the Entry Date that is on that Degree History row.
When change of major does not constitute change of program, such as a change that keeps the student in the BA degree program, use the Entry Date as the Effective Date.
When the change of major does constitute a change of program, edit the Effective Date to match the date the student began the program.

The left panel displays each Effective Date for the Degree History table. Select a change date to see the data for that change. Changed fields are highlighted in dark blue.
