This option is only available if your organization is using Open Items (not Balance Forward) accounting. Open Items must be selected on the A/R Configuration window. |
1. Open the Receipt Entry window.
2. Click the New Detail button to open the Receipt Entry Detail window.
3. Enter the ID Number of the person for whom you are receipting the payment, and press Enter. The AutoGenerate Rows from Open Items? checkbox displays.
4. Enter any other necessary receipt information, and enter the amount of the payment in the Cash Tendered column and press Enter.
5. Select AutoGenerate Rows from Open Items? checkbox.
6. Enter any necessary information in the Total Due and Net Total Due columns display, the Distribution options become available, and the Generate Detail Rows button is available.
7. Select the Priority or Proportional distribution type.
8. Click the Generate Detail Rows button to generate transaction rows in the bottom of the window.
9. Enter all required data and verify that the transactions are correct.
10. Click Save. (1st receipt only) The Forms Control window opens. Change the form number if necessary and select a printer to use to print the receipts, if you system is configured to allow for a choice in printers.
11. Click OK to return to the Receipt Entry Detail window.
12. Click Save.
If a subsidiary is designated as a Balance Forward type in an Open Items environment, the Receipting Priority of the charge will still be used.
