This ID Number indicates a unique entity (person or business) that will become an ID Number upon duplicate checking or import into the J1 database. If no match is found to an existing ID Number during the duplicate checking and if the ID Number is not already specified in the IU tables, the import process assigns the next available ID Number.
The sequence number (one per row) and temporary ID Number (one per identity) must be filled when populating the IU tables.
While each sequence number will be unique according to the table in which the data is placed, the temporary ID Number will be the same for every occurrence that appears in the Import Utility for the same person. This makes it easy to delete an entire ID Number and all of its associated information when it has been identified as a duplicate. This means that temporary ID Number 9 could have a sequence number of 2 on the Name tab and a sequence number of 5 on the Biography tab.
