Exclusive Update?

This checkbox indicates whether gifts given to this club can also be applied to other giving clubs.

· Select the checkbox to make the club exclusive. Gifts that are applied to this club will not be applied to any other club, even if those other clubs are coded as an Automatic Update credit type. When selecting the Exclusive Update checkbox, the credit type of the club should either be Selected Inclusion or Gift Category Update.

· Clear the Exclusive Update checkbox to allow gifts applied to this club also to be eligible for other Automatic Update clubs that are not marked as Exclusive Update.

To illustrate how the Exclusive Update checkbox works, assume you have the following clubs:

If a gift is entered and the OTH club is selected from the Giving Club drop-down list, then both the OTH and any other clubs coded as 'Automatic Update' are credited with the gift because the OTH club is not coded as 'Exclusive Update.'

If a donor gives a gift and the ATH club code is entered when the gift category is selected on the Gift Data Entry window, the donor is only credited for the ATH club because the ATH club is marked as 'Exclusive Update.'
