This three-character code represents a level within the larger giving club. You can define your own codes, using either numbers or letters.
You may want to use one or two characters of the giving club code as part of the club level code. When reporting club levels, it is then apparent to which giving club the club level codes belong. You can sort by the club level code and print entire giving clubs on reports. Sometimes this is preferable to having a mixture of clubs on a report.

If you have a General (GEN) giving club, you could code the club levels within it as GEA, GEB, GEC, GED, GEE, and GEF. For a Lifetime (LIF) club, the club levels could be coded as LFA, LFB, etc. When you sort by club level code, levels GEA - GEF will print as a group before the LFA -LFC club levels. |
